Glen Schofield teases Callisto Protocol news alongside creature close-up

To celebrate Friday the 13th, Striking Distance Founder and CEO Glen Schofield not only teased that news of The Callisto Protocol is coming next week, but he also shared a terrifying close-up of one of the game’s creatures. .

Schofield, who was also the creator of Dead Space, shared the news on Twitter about the game set in the PUBG universe and slated for release on PC and consoles in 2022.

“If you’re not already following @CallistoTheGame maybe now is a good time to start,” Schofield wrote. “Expect news next week. In the meantime, here’s a close-up of one of the creatures from our world-class character cast. They are amazing. Happy Friday the 13th! Be ready!”

The image is an extreme close-up and it’s hard to decipher exactly what it is, but it looks straight out of a nightmare and lends weight to Schofield’s earlier comments that The Callisto Protocol is “the game the scarier on next-gen platforms”. “

The Callisto Protocol was announced at The Game Awards 2020 and is a single-player third-person survival horror adventure set in the year 2320 on the Jupiter moon of Callisto.

In the game, players will have to “survive untold horrors while escaping from Black Iron [Prison] and uncover the dark secrets of the mysterious United Jupiter Company.”

In February 2021, Striking Distance revealed that it was teaming up with Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and his company Skybound Entertainment to expand the reach of the Callisto Protocol as an IP.
