Gotham Knights will have skins inspired by Batman Beyond in DLC

Gotham Knights is already well on its way to being one of the biggest games of 2022 and for Batman fans it just got a little more exciting thanks to some batman beyond skins. batman beyond was an animated sequel to the series Batman: The Animated Series. The show debuted in 1999 and was a completely original idea that wasn’t inspired by any previous Batman comics, movies, or other iterations. After Bruce Wayne grows too old to properly fight crime, a young man named Terry McGinnis takes over in a distant version of Gotham. The show was a big hit and made a huge impression on fans, but was largely relegated to the small screen through the TV series and no major Hollywood games or movies.

Warner Bros. announced that it would include some batman beyond– inspired skins for the 4 playable characters in Gotham Knights and… some of them are kinda ugly, but some of them are also really cool. Red Hood’s suits the character particularly well, but Robin’s is actually terrifying and maybe even over-designed. Nonetheless, it is an optional outfit set that players can choose from if they wish. The skins will be available in the Deluxe Edition at $89.99 from Gotham Knights, so it won’t be cheap, unfortunately. It wouldn’t be surprising if Warner Bros. eventually chooses to release them for everyone at a cheaper price, but at the moment the only known way to get them is through this version or the much more expensive Collector’s Edition.

At the moment, it seems that some fans are already quite skeptical about the game. During the recent gameplay demo of Gotham Knights, it was revealed that Red Hood will use magic and non-lethal bullets. Needless to say, this didn’t sit well with fans of the character, and many took to Twitter to express their frustration with the decision. At this time, it’s unclear how the game will play out, but it looks like an interesting take on the Batman mythos.

Gotham Knights will be released on October 25, 2022 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. The Xbox One and PS4 versions were canceled earlier this week.
