Boston may not be known as one of America’s top party cities, but the Golden State Warriors had no problem celebrating until the wee small hours after winning their fourth NBA title in eight years.

“I’m not gonna lie. I’m hungover right now,” coach Steve Kerr told reporters upon arriving at SFO on Friday evening. “We had a great night last night. We had an incredible night, a late night, but just a special one. Celebrating with the team, the families. It was a beautiful night.”

Kerr was not the only hungover member of the squad, as a team photo taken on the plane home from Boston shows. A solid number of the players pictured look like they’re hanging on by a thread and at least five elected to wear sunglasses inside. Draymond Green, meanwhile, grinned cheekily while wearing a Boston Celtics T-shirt that he made some special edits to.

When asked about the flight home, Kerr joked, “It was long. It felt like we just flew in from Europe.”

The Warriors have two days to rest up before the biggest party of all: the championship parade down Market Street. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to crowd into San Francisco’s downtown on Monday to watch the team drink and party their way from Market and Main down to 8th Street.

If prior parades are any indication, it’s sure to be a raucous, possibly exhausting, event. After the 2018 victory parade, Klay Thompson memorably remarked, “I’m tired. I want to go eat a sandwich.”
