New Fire Emblem Engage trailer features Emblem Marth and more

It’s an Intense Race for All 12 Emblem Rings in New Trailer Fire Emblem Engage.

The next installment in the Fire Emblem series received its first trailer from Nintendo on Wednesday, showcasing heroes old and new. The trailer sees the Divine Dragon Alear, the game’s blue and red striped protagonist, attempt to piece together his past in order to battle the villainous Fell Dragon.

They must bring peace to the Elysian Continent by collecting the Emblem Rings, each containing the power to summon Fire Emblem heroes from other worlds, including, of course, Marth.

Marth – or Emblem Marth, to be clear – seems to be Alear’s personal protector, fighting alongside him in treacherous battles.

According to Nintendo, summoning the heroes is known as engaging. When a player hires a hero, they can inherit the hero’s weapons, skills, and more. While Marth and Alear’s relationship has yet to be seen, it also seems like it’s entirely possible that Emblem Marth could be turned to the dark side.

But the heroes don’t stop there. Alongside Marth, the Emblem rings also seem to highlight the return of Sigurd and Cecilia. Fire Emblem Engage also introduces an all-new cast of characters to aid Alear in his quest.

One of these characters is the crown prince of Bro-dia, the realm of might. The other characters don’t get much other information, but a preview of their creations seems to promise a sparkling new edition to the Fire Emblem saga.

Fire Emblem Engage will be released on January 20, 2023 for Nintendo Switch.
