A new Steam leak has spoiled a big game reveal from Paradox Interactive, the developer and publisher behind games and series like Crusader Kings, Cities: Skylines, and Europe Universalis IV. When it comes to strategy games – especially grand strategy – they’re some of the best in the business, but since they largely only track strategy games, they’re mostly unknown to many console gamers. Steam users need no introduction, and it looks like they’re about to reveal a new game.
According to Steam Database, Paradox Interactive is developing or publishing a game called Survive the abyss, which appears to be a survival management game based on previous games from Paradox Interactive. However, although we have the title of the game, that’s all we have.
The game added to the Steam database not only leaks the game’s existence, but suggests that it’s not far off, as if it were, it wouldn’t already be getting a Steam page. If the game is about to get a Steam page, it’s probably because it already has at least one release window.
All that said, for now, remember this is a leak. It’s not directly from an official source, which means it should be taken with a grain of salt for now. As for Paradox Interactive, it hasn’t commented on any of this or the speculation it has created. And the same goes for Valve, the owner of Steam.
