Discounted Apple iPad for Black Friday
There’s a new 2022 iPad this year, and guess what? Apple has increased the base price to $449! At this moment the Apple iPad 10.2 inch 2021 costs just $269, a $60 price drop from its $329 MSRP and $180 less than the base 2022 iPad model. It features a 10.2″ Retina display with TruTone coupled with an Apple A13 Bionic processor and 64 GB of internal storage.
The Apple iPad Air 2022 was released earlier in March and starts at $519 (normally $599). It’s a healthy upgrade from the 10.2-inch iPad in almost every aspect. It has a larger screen (10.9″ vs. 10.2″) with both True Tone and P3 Wide Color. It has the same powerful Apple M1 chip found in the 2021 iPad Pro. Despite the more powerful hardware, the iPad Air is about the same size as the 10.2-inch iPad (thanks to the thinner bezel) and also weighs a little less. Charging is done via the universal USB Type-C connector.
The Apple iPad Pro 11 inch 2022 was released about a month ago and so far this 10% discount is the best price we’ve seen. The biggest upgrade and the one that makes the jump to the 2022 model worth it is the new M2 processor (the previous iPad Pro has the M1 chip). The 11″ model also includes a Liquid Retina XDR display with ProMotion, True Tone and P3 Wide Color, 128GB of storage and a USB Type-C connector.
The Apple iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2021 was also replaced by the iPad Pro 2022 with the M2 chip. For you who appreciate value, save $300 and score the 2021 M1 model for $799. The performance difference really isn’t worth the price difference. The iPad Pro features the best 12.9-inch Mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR display with ProMotion, Tru Tone, and P3 Wide Color, and the M1 chip is faster than any other tablet chip outside of the M2. the universal USB Type-C connector.
Will we see better deals on Black Friday?
We’ll see deals on more iPad models and options (i.e. if you want higher storage capacity), but prices for those specific iPads probably won’t drop much, if at all. everything. We would give the iPad prices a $10-$50 spread based on the base cost of the iPad. Regardless of what happens on Black Friday, these are all the lowest prices we’ve seen all year.
